Process Technology — Willoughby, OH

Glass walls are an integral part of this minimalistic award-winning transformation project for Process Technology, an Ohio-based manufacturer of industrial heaters and power supplies.

When Process Technology engaged Vocon to design their 23,500 sq-foot Global Headquarters and Product Development Center in Willoughby, Ohio, their goal was to achieve a modern space facilitating their commitment to providing a transparent environment for their employees.

To make the space feel lighter and sleeker, Vocon’s architects removed 80% of the existing site's (originally an auto dealership) concrete, glazing, and non-structurally-sound components.

Reusing the existing structure and utilizing INFINIUM’s Refine Double-Glazed Unitized glass wall system, Vocon incorporated natural light to infuse a feeling of openness throughout the space.

In a setting where visibility and sharing ideas is fundamental, using glass walls to separate the space created an array of workspace options, providing both privacy and a sense of corporate community.

The cleanroom is housed directly behind the concierge area, providing a clear look into the testing, research and development for all employees and visitors. The executive offices, located in the heart of the office’s cultural hub, exhibit the company’s receptiveness and availability to employees.

The new headquarters also incorporates a quiet zone and is dog-friendly, which is something our team at INFINIUM can get behind!

It’s easy to see why this local office space won a 2020 AIA Cleveland Award and an NAIOP Award of Excellence for Interior Renovation. We're certainly proud that our walls were selected to help complete the look of this amazing space!
